John Rice

Hi, my name is John and I am the principal photographer and director of Eternity Photography. I have photographed hundreds of weddings in Perth and also in some beautiful country locations in Western Australia. I became a wedding photographer over twelve years ago and I now consider myself to be an expert in the art of wedding storytelling. I can photograph your wedding in three styles which are classical, natural-romantic and wedding photojournalism. You can even have a blend of all three styles for your photographs which I can discuss with you. I live and breathe wedding photography and I have the same level of passion and excitement when I travel to a wedding as I did when I first started out. This isn’t work it is fun! I would like to find out more about you and your fiance’ and hear what your wedding plans are. For me to capture a high quality collection of wedding photographs for you I need to find out what makes you tick and the more I know the better. I want your wedding photographs to have personality and reflect you as people on a very important day in your lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can we get our portraits done? What days do you open?

We are open by appointment. We can find a time to suit everyone for their portraits. We can even manage Sundays if this is the only day that you can get everyone together.

What happens when my children hate being photographed? Do not worry. This is our living, and with our planning and vast experience we guarantee the great images that you want. Teenagers love our work, it is cool and reflects the real them. When do we see our shots? Viewing times are very flexible. We suggest that you leave the kids at home and come and enjoy the show. This is also the hard decision making time as it is to cull an image that you adore, we recommend that you have an idea of sizes and measured up wall spaces so that your size choices are easier. What if we do not like any of the images? We have a satisfaction guarantee; if you are not totally happy with the images there is no obligation to invest at the ordering session. However once you have experienced our exceptional work you will be a customer for life. Our referral rate is amazing and we recommend that you update your portraits every 3-5 years. What are digital enhancements? Like a trip to the cosmetic surgeon it can change any part of the image that you do not like, except it is painless! One of our team can explain this in full at the design consultation. Are the images framed? Our images come gallery matted and ready to frame. We can quote you on our framing service and great display options at the viewing. Do you do large numbers of 10-20 people? Yes we encourage you to include all family members, especially grandparents, as they are so special to the family. What is the design consultation? The first step towards your beautiful portraits is your design consultation. I will call you for a chat about your session and how we can create some really great portraits for you. I will also discuss some of the popular options for displaying your portraits and we will quote you on your choices so there are no suprises at the ordering session. I will also advise you on what to wear, props you may want to bring along etc. Do you come to our home to photograph? No we do not, we have the studio set up with the best in soft and natural lighting equipment. Our locations are especially selected to add depth to your images and we love parks or architectural factors to make your images so unique. Where is your studio?

We have a studio at Suite 2 115-117 South Tce, South Fremantlle 6162

What is unique about your studio? I celebrate everyday that I am doing what I love, life is good and when I pick up my camera I am ready for some fun and creating a collection of portraits that you will love and enjoy. I love to meet people and see what makes them tick, to help me do this my sessions are always relaxed and a fun experience for everyone. What is your style? I love to create beautiful and natural portraits that tell stories. My photographs offer subtle glimpses into the characters of my subjects. I find that this style of portraiture offers something deeper than just aestetics. I can create stunning compositions with amazing light but I also want to offer you something that is real. My style of portraiture will provide you with a collection of timeless photographs that can be enjoyed on many levels.
