As a Penrith area Celebrant, I have been marrying couples from Penrith to Parramatta and the Mountains for the past 6 years.

As a professionally trained Celebrant I provide a relaxed yet professional and comprehensive service for your special day! Of course, every Wedding is different - from simple and casual to large and formal and everything in between! Whatever you imagine for your special day, I am happy to work with you to achieve it. Do you do butterfly releases, sand blending, handfasting, ring blessing, candle lighting, rose ceremony, jumping the broom? Yes I have experience providing all of these symbolic rituals as part of wedding ceremonies. There are many to choose from - it depends on your own personal circumstances and your preferences. Lodging the Notice of Intended Marriage By law The Notice of Intended Marriage may be lodged with a Celebrant up to 18 months before the wedding date. However, the Notice must be lodged with the Celebrant at least one clear month before the intended date of your wedding. Should I invite the Celebrant to attend the Reception? Unless your Celebrant is known to you and your family or friends, it is not necessary. How much do you charge? The fee can vary depending on your individual needs for your wedding and how much travel is required. Please give me a call to discuss your needs and I am happy to advise of the fee. What areas do you service? I reside in the Penrith valley area and (as a general guide) I conduct ceremonies between Parramatta and the Mountains. However, I can negotiate to provide ceremonies anywhere of your choosing. Can we write our own vows? Yes - as long as you state the minimum legal vows required by The Marriage Act, 1961 you can add additional vows of your own choosing. What does the Celebrant provide? All Celebrants are required to fulfil the legal requirements of conducting marriage according to The Marriage Act, 1961 including the submission of all required paperwork to the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages. I provide my clients with My Ceremony booklet to guide them in choosing the content of their marriage ceremony. Depending on the couple's needs, I can provide a PA system and microphone, signing table, lace cloth and chairs. My couples all receive a keepsake copy of their Wedding Ceremony presented as a booklet. What documents do I need to get married? If born in Australia you must provide a Birth Certificate. If born overseas you should make every effort to provide a Birth Certificate. However, if this is not possible, you could supply an overseas passport. If either of you has been previously married you must also provide documentary evidence of how the marriage ended, eg divorce or death certificate (if widow/widower).
