Frequently Asked Questions

What days do you shoot and how long does it take? Your portrait session is available Monday to Saturday. We only shoot outdoor locations when the light is best, either early morning (2hours after sunrise) or in the afternoon (2 hours before sunset). Indoor shoots at your home are available all day (daylight hours). What do we wear? Your portraits by JWP are supposed to be about you being yourself. Your favourite casual outfit is a good place to start. Bring a change of shirt and a jacket, maybe a classic hat. At your design consultation we can discuss specifics for your session. Also contact us for the password and you can download our Portrait photography guidelines from the Downloads page. When do we see our shots? We arrange a time for you to view your images within 2 weeks of your shoot. It is best to leave the kids at home, relax and enjoy the stunning art that we have created for you. When coming for the viewing it is best to have an idea of wall space sizes in your home so that you can best make decisions on what size Prints will suit your home. What if we do not like any of the images? JWP guarantees that you will have a great time and love your images. What are digital enhancements? ll of your images are subtly enhanced to create distinctive, high quality art prints. We can subtly enhance to highlight your best features What does it cost? The studio charges a $180.00 session fee which covers the design consultation, photographic session and preparation of your images for viewing. Print prices range from $149.00. We also have a variety of attractive package deals (made up of prints, books and albums) that vary in inclusion to ensure that you get exactly what you want. How long does it take to process an order? Once you have ordered your Prints, Art books or Albums you can expect your Prints and albums in around 3 weeks and Art books in around 6 weeks. Payment methods include cash, cheque, credit card or direct deposit. A 50 % deposit is required at the time of your order, with the balance on delivery. If you would like to take advantage of our layby plan a 25% deposit is required with the balance direct debited over 6 months. Are the images framed? Our premium quality prints are ideal for framing and we offer a discount voucher for framing at one of the areas best archival framers. Our canvas prints are framed, ready to hang. Do you do large families of 10 to 20? Yes it is possible to photograph the family as a whole and then have a time for each individual part of the family. Do you come to our home and photograph? A session can take place at your home or at a nearby location of your choice. How much is it? A portrait session including an obligation free 30 minute pre portrait consultation, a 1 hour photographic session at the location of your choice and a 1 hour viewing session in the studio is $130. Print prices start at $149 and there is an attractive range of packages available including wall prints, albums and coffee table books. What is a design consultation? Before any session you are invited into our studio for a no obligation 30-minute design consultation. At this consultation we discuss your vision for your images, what to wear and how your images can be displayed. Not everyone in your shoot has to come in for a design, just bring your diary so we can arrange your portrait session. Where is your viewing studio? Design consultations and Portrait viewings takes place at our studio at Suite 3 154 Flora Street Sutherland. On the corner of Flora and Merton street. Entry is via the frosted glass doors on the Merton street side of the building. What is so unique about your studio shots WP considers each photographic session as a chance to create fine art. Our style is spontaneous, fun, natural and artistic. What are JWP lifestyle portraits? Portraiture by JWP combines a design plan, a location and beautiful natural light for images that are stylish, timeless, natural and unique to you and your family
