Wedding News > Choosing a wedding hairstyle

1 July 2008

On your wedding day, you want your hairstyle to look amazing and last the whole day. Choosing a wedding day hairstyle takes time and effort. You'll need to experiment with different styles and take into consideration what head pieces you'll be wearing, such as a veil or a tiara. Do you want a formal or informal hairstyle? Will the hairstyle need maintenance during the day?

Experimenting with colour in the last days leading up to your wedding probably isn't the best idea. By dyeing your hair too much, you could end up with damaged and dry hair. Try experimenting with colour several months before so you get a good idea of what suits you.

Choose a hairstyle that suits your face shape. Face shapes include:

  • Oval
  • Rectangular or oblong
  • Round
  • Square
  • Heart
  • Triangular
  • Diamond

Discuss with your hairdresser what face shape you have to find out what hairstyle suits you best.
