29 July 2008

Thinking up cheap yet unique wedding bomboniere can be tricky. You want something special, yet you also want something that fits in your budget. If you have a large wedding, bomboniere can be very pricey.

Look for items that you can buy cheaply in bulk to save money. Also items that you can make yourself can help save money.

Dress up a container and fill them with wedding bomboniere goodies such as:

  • Sugared almonds - very traditional.
  • Chocolates - specially made or your favourite type.
  • Lollies - roc candy is very popular and can be made according to your favourite colours and tastes.
  • Specially made fortune cookies.
  • Homemade soap or bath salt.
  • Gourmet coffee grounds or tea leaves.
  • Specially made music CDs.
  • Candles or pot-purri.
  • Potted plants like cacti.
  • A handmade wine charm.
  • Incense sticks or essential oils.
  • Cookies and biscuits.
  • Champagne flutes.

There are no rules when it comes to wedding bomboniere. You can give whatever you like.
