Frequently Asked Questions
I do hair styling for commercial work but not for weddings. Bridal hair usually takes an 45 minutes to an hour per person and to do make-up on top of that takes far too long for one person to do an entire bridal party. You are best to have a make-up artist and a hair stylist so everything runs smoothly and to schedule. I have contacts with fabulous hair stylists who also comes to you. Let me know if you’d like hair as well and I’ll put you in touch with them.
Why should I get my make-up done by a professional? You've been planning your wedding day for a while. You've paid thousands for a fabulous photographer, a beautiful dress and you'll have your hair done professionally. Why wouldn't you complete the picture with the perfect make-up. A make-up artist can really ad the finishing touch to your photos. Beautiful skin, gorgeous eyes and glossy lips. Your photos are what you have to remember your day so make sure you look your best! Does my make-up have to be heavy so it looks good in the photos? Heavy or thick make-up is definitely NOT needed. People are under the misconception that because heavy make-up is applied at some glamour studios that this is what is required on your wedding day. This is not true. Natural looking make-up is all that is needed to have you looking fabulous in your photos. The right products will give you the coverage you need with out the look of heavy make-up. The application of bridal make-up is no different to the make-up I do on photo shoots. Of course if you like heavy make-up then I am more than happy to do that for you. How soon before my wedding should I have a trial? I recommend at least 2 to 3 months before, earlier if you like to be organised. A trial is to make sure your happy with the artists work and create the look you want to have on the day. If you leave a trial to right before your wedding, you may find it difficult to find a new artist if you're not happy with the trial.
