Ricky Hamilton is newly appointed as the hotelâ€™s fully accredited wedding and event planner. Ricky hails from Victoria, where he gained experience in some of the stateâ€™s most prestigious and recognisable establishments; Gabriel Martin at Treasury, The Victorian Wine Precinct-Reserve, Sausalito and Matteoâ€™s. Rickyâ€™s past roles include group event manager of Collins Quarter, Madame Brussels, Gin Palace, The Order of Melbourne and The Kelvin Club (under awarded venue owner Vernon Chalker). To date, Ricky has achieved excellence in the creation, operations and concept development of numerous events including The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, MIFF, Spring Fashion Festival, Scotch & Soda launch, InDesign, Jaguar, Magnolia Courtyard Luncheon and countless weddings, ï¬lm and television wrap parties. He has collaborated with top chefs Greg Malouf, Michael Nunn, Brendan McQueen, George Colombaris, Cath Claringbold and Raymond Capaldi. Ricky recently spent several months completing the prestigious â€œJoy Certificationâ€ course offered through Marriott International, giving him full accreditation as a wedding planner. This course is unique to the hotel industry and enables Hamilton to offer invaluable advice and exceptional service to potential brides and grooms.
