Our Story Duy Huynh Chief Executive / Owner My father was a ten year old boy, born into a large family at the edge of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. His father died young, leaving his mother to bear the brunt of bringing up 9 children. And every day, to survive my father would buy bread from the local bakery to sell, but then one day, my grandmother decided to fill the baguettes with her own homemade pates, hams and pickles. Out of nothing, they had a little business selling bagets to the local village people. And because of the recipes that have been handed down through the generations, it help my parents to start a business from nothing, when arriving in Australia as refugees with literally just the clothes on their backs. Due to their hard work, we had then the financial means to build the Baget business as a family to broaden our reach to make lunchtime more exciting and exotic for more people. Authenticity is not just a catch phrase for us, it’s our history, our family, our survival and our contribution to the world. Fast forward to today: We are so proud to be serving you the same heartfelt food grandma created all those years ago.
