Carmel was my rock when all the unexpected happened. So understanding and supportive with unspoken trust, a virtue lacking in the world these days. My husband and I went the unusual way of a handfasting old celtic ceremony with the declaration of intent. This was with the 6 cord knot. Not only did she embrace our ideas and wishes, Carmel was dying to do a ceremony like this. Everyone mentions the ceremony to us rather than the reception! Having known Carmel for a few years through work connections, I knew she was the perfect choice to be our celebrant. She is such a positive and loving person.
