From awaiting lava explosions atop a volcano in Vanuatu, to arranging tea and biscuits for a lifestyle shoot, or covering an international conference event - Elyse adapts for whatever the job requires. With a natural eye for composition, a talent for making people comfortable and years of experience working in different cultures, languages and difficult lighting situations - Elyse Patten is an exceptional photographer. Elyse is currently engaged as a photojournalist for an international non-government organisation known collectively as the Wycliffe Global Alliance. Traveling to remote locations around the world Elyse brings home the story of language development and translation amongst minority people groups. In the last two years Elyse has covered a sign-language event in southern India, taught photography classes in Papua New Guinea, covered a conference in South Africa and collected stories and images in the Philippines and Thailand.
