We had a party of 40 people catered by The Pizza Guys Newcastle last Saturday evening. From initial contact to the end of food service at the event, 'The Pizza Guys' service, product quality, professionalism and attention to detail where impressive. I have been in the food service and hospitality industry for 28 years and we wanted to hold an event where we could spend our time focusing on creating a unique space for a special celebration in our home. We chose to outsource our food service so we could work on setting the space then be able to relax and enjoy our celebration on the night. We posted our event requirements on Oneflare and received several expressions of interest and then selected some companies to quote. Joe, owner of 'The Pizza Guys' contacted us and came to visit our home to discuss our needs and to survey our property for catering set up details. Joe was professional, friendly and very helpful. He provided us with a variety of pizza menus and costings. He quoted our event promptly. We felt relieved to have found such a professional and friendly cater and we felt very happy to confirm with a deposit. The planning of food for the evening was stress free with 'The Pizza Guys'. Close to the date, we selected our entrée, mains and dessert pizzas and confirmed numbers with Joe. On the evening, Joe and Ursula arrived a few hours early to set up their beautiful Woodfired Pizza Oven. Our guests arrived to the wonderful smell of Italian cooking. The food was fantastic....true and authentic Italian thin crust pizzas. Joe imports the pizza crusts from Italy. He is, himself, Sicilian. He and Ursula made the toppings using the freshest of ingredients. They know how to make and cook spectacular, authentic true Italian pizza! The dessert pizza was a first for many of our guests... dark chocolate and fresh strawberry... a delightful culinary surprise.
I would recommend 'The Pizza Guys' to anyone wanting to present an event that is unique and stress free in their home. We will certainly book The Pizza Guys again. We chose the $20 a person package. We felt that our pizzas were magnificent with their fresh ingredients and beautiful Italian simplicity. There was a great variety to select from and they were of excellent standard in our estimation. We are looking forward to trying the 'Gourmet' selection offered by 'The Pizza Guys' one day soon. Excellent value for money and brilliant service. Thank you Ursula and Joe,
